New Year, New Features: TariffPilot Release January 2026
We at TariffPilot made intensive use of the time “between the years”. Our resolution was clear: We want to make your daily work in customs tariff classification even faster, safer, and more transparent. Instead of stagnation, our development team was busy.
The result is a comprehensive update that is now available to all users and brings significant improvements in the areas of performance and data protection.
The turbo is ignited: Significantly faster processes
Time is a critical factor in foreign trade. That is why we have made deep changes to the architecture of our platform and implemented various optimizations. You will notice the result of this work immediately when you start your next process: The speed of determining customs tariff numbers has been significantly increased. Complex queries are now processed faster.
Transparent processes: See what happens
Trust in AI results arises from understanding. With the new release, we have implemented a progress indicator that shows you exactly what is happening during the creation of a classification proposal. You can see live the various analysis steps that TariffPilot goes through.
A milestone for data sovereignty: Our self-hosted model
We know that data protection is of utmost importance when dealing with sensitive product data and customs information. That is why we are particularly proud of this major strategic step we took over the turn of the year. TariffPilot now uses a self-hosted AI model on its own servers for its core functions.
What does this mean for you? We have made ourselves significantly more independent from large third-party providers. The processing of your data takes place in a closed environment under our direct control. This step is a clear commitment to maximum data sovereignty and security for our customers.
Outlook: The year is just beginning
This release is just the beginning for 2026. We are using the momentum and are already working hard on the next topics on our roadmap. Currently at the top of the list are the further development of our mass classification features and the final touches on the eagerly awaited export control classification.
We cordially invite you to log in or test to TariffPilot and experience the new speed and transparency for yourself. Here’s to a successful and efficient year 2026!
