This release improves transparency of AI‑generated content, introduces tenant‑level control over web search features, and enhances proposal summaries and model routing reliability.

1. Tenant-Level Web Search Control
Administrators can now disable web search functionality for their organization. This ensures greater compliance control and allows organizations to restrict external data usage when required.

2. AI Transparency Notice in Exports
PDF and HTML exports now include a clear AI‑generated content notice. This helps organizations meet transparency and documentation requirements when using AI-assisted classification results.

3. Improved Customs Proposal Summaries
Proposal summaries now automatically derive a clearer customs goods description from the final classification step, improving readability and documentation quality.

4. Enhanced AI Model Routing and Fallbacks
Model selection and fallback logic have been improved to increase reliability and stability when generating translations, summaries, and classification assistance.

🚀 Key Updates

1. Stripe Customer Portal Integration

TariffPilot offers subscriptions via Stripe. This allows customers to seamlessly manage their subscriptions, invoices, and billing information directly within Stripe’s secure environment, providing a much better user experience and robust self-service features.

2. High-Resolution Image Processing

The image upload infrastructure has been significantly upgraded to process very large images. This critical enhancement ensures the system can easily handle heavy files, which is required for analyzing complex architectural blueprints and schematics.

3. Enhanced Tenant Settings & AI Context

A new company information field has been added to the tenant settings page. By allowing tenants to provide specific details about their business, the AI can leverage this context to generate much more accurate, relevant, and tailored responses.

4. File Upload Clarifications

A new disclaimer has been added to the file upload interface to ensure transparency and proper data handling expectations when users submit documents to the platform.

While the turn of the year meant rest for many, we used the time “between the years” intensively to make your daily work in customs classification even faster, more secure, and more transparent. The result is a comprehensive update with significant improvements in performance and data protection.

Time is a critical factor in international trade. That’s why we have made deep architectural changes to our platform and implemented various optimizations. The speed of determining customs tariff numbers has been significantly increased, allowing even complex requests to be processed noticeably faster.

Transparent Process Progress

Trust in AI results is built on understanding. With the new release, we have implemented a progress indicator that shows you exactly what is happening during the creation of a classification proposal. You get a live insight into the various analysis steps that the TariffPilot goes through.

Self-Hosted AI Model for Maximum Data Sovereignty

Data protection is of utmost importance when dealing with sensitive product data and customs information. As a major strategic step, TariffPilot now uses a self-hosted AI model on its own servers for its core functions. This means significantly greater independence from third-party providers. The processing of your data takes place in a closed environment under our direct control – a clear commitment to maximum data sovereignty and security.

The New June Release is Ready

Unified input for description, file upload and URL input

Separation between description, file upload and URL input has been removed. Now, all of these elements can be combined to describe the goods.

Dual Use Correlation Table

A correlation table for dual-use goods has been added. In the summary now the dual-use footnotes and numbers are displayed.

Additional Code Information

Now with the code for proposal, also the Code Number (German), TARIC code, KN code and HS code are displayed.

Preparations for the Next Generation of Agentic AI Models

The system has been prepared for the next generation of Agentic AI Models. This is not yet visible in the platform, but the groundwork has been laid for broader and more complex AI customs applications.

Further Adjustments

  • Further adjustments for the AEB integration, including a modular authentication system for integration inside of AEB user interface.
  • Added new AI models to the mix.
  • User roles can now be modified after adding users to a tenant.

The New May Release is Ready

Integration with AEB

The integration with the AEB solution enables the handling of complex tariffing cases with the support of generative AI and allows direct transfer into the AEB material master. The combination of AEB’s comprehensive master data and tariffing solution with the specialized TariffPilot logic creates real added value – simple, transparent, and system-integrated.

EU-Hosted AI Models by Default

The new AI models provided as part of the May release are hosted in the EU by default. This not only ensures compliance with European data protection regulations but also improves the performance and availability of AI-powered features for our users in the EU. If the EU-hosted AI models are temporarily unavailable, the system will automatically switch to US-hosted models. This ensures continued access to AI-powered features even in such cases.

Web search is now provided based on Google Search, ensuring better comparability with manual research.

ECICS Database

The ECICS database has been integrated to enhance the information available on chemical substances.

Further Adjustments

  • Selected BTIs (Binding Tariff Information) can now be reset if needed
  • The reference ID is now also displayed in the overview
  • CSV export available for both batch and single queries
  • Content-Security-Policy header tightened for increased security

The New February Release is Available

  • The revamped web search now provides more specific information for product descriptions, focusing on material composition, function, purpose, and other details.
  • Found websites are listed, and users can directly incorporate relevant information into the product description with a simple click.
  • The results of the web search are saved in PilotMemo for both individual and bulk classification, ensuring traceability.
  • The web search can now be used with PilotMemos created from uploaded PDF files, images, or URLs.
  • The web search results are displayed in the PDF export of the PilotMemo.

TariffPilot Algorithm

  • The TariffPilot algorithm has been upgraded to include the use of new, more powerful AI models that have become available since the last release.

Expanded Functionality

  • In batch classification, the name of the uploaded Excel file is displayed in the job name.

Read PDF files and URLs when creating PilotMemos

  • PDF files and URLs can now be read when creating PilotMemos
  • Textual goods descriptions are now validated by AI to detect missing information already during input
  • The PDF file name or URL is displayed in the PilotMemo overview

Mass Tariffing

  • When importing Excel for mass tariffing, the content of the Excel file is initially displayed as a table.
  • After reviewing the table, it can be processed in the form of PilotMemos.
  • This ensures that no relevant information is lost during import.
  • Additionally an example Excel template for mass tariffing is available for download.

Extended functionality

  • A new traffic light logic signals whether all necessary information is available in PilotMemos or further information is required.
  • The user’s language is now automatically set as the main language on the PilotMemo.
  • PilotMemos can now always contain a foreign ID to facilitate assignment to an external system e.g. to the material master.
