Tariff Code Revision (CN Revision)
Tariff code revision is a TariffPilot feature that checks, after the annual update of the Combined Nomenclature, whether determined customs tariff numbers are still valid. It is not a legal term but a product feature for compliance maintenance.
Also known as: CN revision, KN-Revision, annual tariff check
What does the tariff code revision do?
After the annual update of the Combined Nomenclature, the tariff code revision checks the stock of previously determined customs tariff numbers and shows which codes have changed. This keeps classification current across the turn of the year.
How is the tariff code revision activated?
The feature is available live in TariffPilot and can be activated via a toggle in the classification dashboard.
Who benefits from the tariff code revision?
- customers with many already-classified items
- the annual compliance maintenance after the CN update
- early detection of changed or discontinued codes
The tariff code revision at TariffPilot
The tariff code revision is itself a TariffPilot feature. It reduces the manual effort of annual tariff maintenance and helps keep track of the validity of classifications and the binding tariff information based on them.
